Live Auction of Fine Netsuke & Sagemono: 7 November 2025
Galerie Zacke will be holding an auction soon entitled Fine Netsuke & Sagemono, featuring 384 lots of exceptional netsuke and sagemono. The auction will take place on Friday, 7th November 2025, at 1:00pm CET. The full catalogue may be viewed online at Fine Netsuke & Sagemono – Galerie Zacke.
The sale opens with a distinguished group of fine inrō, highlighted by Ogawa Haritsu’s complete Twelve Months set (lot 11), appearing on the market for the first time. It continues with sagemono by Hasegawa Ikko (lots 68–73) and an outstanding selection of fine netsuke spanning major schools and periods. Among the highlights are 18th-century masterpieces such as the tall drummer (lot 84), the unusual two tanuki (lot 85), and the large and impressive wood netsuke of a tiger (lot 107), alongside works by Kaigyokusai Masatsugu, Ikku, Hidemasa, Ohara Mitsuhiro, Suzuki Tokoku, Ozaki Kokusai, Shibata Zeshin, and the Sō-school masters Sōko and Sōsui.
The exhibition is now open to the public at Zelinkgasse 6, Vienna, Austria, from Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm. In addition, detailed videos of all lots are available to view on Galerie Zacke’s YouTube channel.
