Alastair Gibson Auctions are delighted to present their first full auction in partnership with Suzannah Yip.

Suzannah was the former Japanese art expert at Sotheby’s and founder of the Japanese department at Bonham’s New Bond Street, London. This auction encompasses a wide variety of Japanese art: netsuke, inro, bronzes, iron, silver, and inlaid mixed metalwork, as well as cloisonné enamel such as the pair of Imperial masterpieces illustrated here (lot 95).
The sale also includes private collections of shin-hanga prints—early editions and fine impressions by Kawase Hasui, Ohara Koson and Takahashi Shotei. In addition there will be a number of Chinese pieces including Libation Cups and the Simon Davidson collection of Chinese export armorial porcelain.
