Galerie Zacke that they will be holding an auction entitled Fine Netsuke & Sagemono, featuring 365 lots of exceptional netsuke and sagemono. 

The auction will take place on Friday, 8th May 2026, at 1:00 PM CET.

The sale opens with a refined selection of sagemono, including a masterful uki-e inrō by the Kajikawa family (lot 26) and a superb inrō by Koma Kōryū (lot 31), before presenting an outstanding group of fine netsuke spanning a wide range of schools, styles, and periods. Among the highlights are powerful early carvings such as a shishi seal (lot 92) and a marine ivory baku (lot 93), as well as the cover lot, a horse attributed to Tomotada (lot 133), alongside works by rare carvers such as Tsuji and Ōtoman. In addition there is a dedicated section of Teddy Hahn’s netsuke (lots 181–192), and an excellent group by Kanō Tomokazu (lots 204–209), including a superb tiger (lot 206); the selection is further enriched by notable examples from the Tokyo and Sō schools and concludes with an impressive array of contemporary netsuke led by Adam Bland (lot 362) and Kangyoku (lot 349).

The exhibition will be open to the public at Zelinkgasse 6, Vienna, from 4 to 7 May, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and on 8 May until 12:00 PM. In addition, detailed videos of all lots are available to view on Galerie Zacke’s YouTube channel.
