We start 2025 with issue 67 of Euronetsuke, now in our 32nd year as the journal of the European chapter of the International Netsuke Society.

We are happy to have some words from Chip Lutton, the new president of the INS in this issue. Euronetsuke has grown a lot over the years from its humble origins. It was originally created as a means of communicating and sharing with the vast diaspora of Europe, but now has extended to membership worldwide. We are always part of the larger INS, and through our network are happy to be able to organise events for members in various locations. At the moment we have two events being planned, one in London on November 3rd and one in Belgium, both of which you will receive emails about in due course.

We have launched our new website – it will become an invaluable resource for our members as more content is added over the coming months – along with more news about upcoming events and exhibitions that may be of interest. The subscription service for membership is also being updated to enable easy renewals. We are always interested to hear what you would like to see both on the website and in the journal, so do please contact us.

On a very sad note, we have lost three more of our long-standing members from Euronetsuke and tributes to them appear in News & Events.
